Chris and I spent most of the day on Sunday trying to revamp the garage floor. Really and truly it wasn't a necessity, but just another project that we could do together that would also benefit our somewhat dated house. We are still really enjoying these little projects around the house and since Chris's ultimate goal is to rebuild an older car, we are gradually working our way towards that. First, Chris emptied the contents out of the garage and rinsed it with an acid solution.
Garage floor before- lots of stains
1st coat of paint
These flakes get sprinkled on with the 2nd coat
How the end result "should" look
Final product
Sadly, the pictures don't do the project any justice. The floor actual turned out really great, and although I did not take a great before picture to compare with the final product, Chris and I can tell a huge difference. Now, how about that closet I keep putting off? It is in the works. Stay tuned for my closet makeover.

That looks great! I have always wondered if doing that to the garage would really work. I have seen it on HGTV. So cool that you guys did it!
