Weekend at Windy Point

Thanks to our good friends Sarah and Michael, Chris and I enjoyed a beautiful weekend on Lake Travis. The weather was amazing, lots of sun and a refreshing breeze to keep us cool. It was my first trip to this lake, and it did not disappoint. I was convinced that there was a job nearby calling my name and a few houses in dire need of my occupancy. Oh, to live there! The drive back to Katy on Sunday was a harsh reality.

On a brighter note, I got to spend some great quality time with Dean Elliot too, an added plus to an otherwise amazing and adventurous weekend.

Unless you are familiar with the infamous Hippy Hollow at Lake Travis, you will only notice me posing with my mode of transportation for the weekend. After seeing this little hideaway on the lake, I was suddenly aware again why I have probably never spent much time in Austin. I guess you could say as a 3rd generation Aggie, there are some members of my family who are very aware of the weirdness in Austin. I would still move there, nonetheless.

And we couldn't leave without a nice lunch overlooking the lake at The Oasis. Unbelievable view!

A great weekend at Windy Point. I will now spend the next 10 years of my life trying to find a way to call it my home!
