Local Home Prices

Good news for those in the west area of Houston wanting to sell there house (and for my LIFO predictions), February data for west Houston home sales reveals a 1% increase in homes sold with a steady price increase as well. Overall, the average sales price in the Houston area rose 6% in February. Sounds to me like we could be headed out of the recession. Hence the LIFO (last in first out) prediction I thought Texas would follow. Many in our area have not felt the affects of the recession, with one major exception, the housing market. With this turn around the corner in February, we may be, for the most part, at the tail end of it. Just in time for the spring home buying season! That should make some realtors very happy.
