According to USA Today, March was Earth’s warmest month EVER on record worldwide, referencing the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) record that goes all the way back to 1880. The climate center reported the combined global land and ocean average surface temperature in March was 56.3 degrees, which is 1.39 degrees above the 20th-century average of 54.9 degrees. Also, the worldwide ocean surface temperature was the highest on record, 1.01 degree above the 20th century average of 60.7 degrees.
While Florida had its coldest year ever so far, three states in New England (Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont) are having their warmest year ever. Does not sound like Global Warming to me, but it sure does make things interesting for the weather men- and let's face it they don't need any help making bad weather predictions.
